Local Attractions
The combination of secluded coves, sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and fascinating architecture, contrasting with stately homes and luscious parkland with all the big city attractions of Plymouth a mere ferry or car ride away, make this coastal town a much desired tourist destination.
Beaches
Cawsand and Kingsand provide safe beaches and waters for families literally a stones throw from the Cawsand Bay Hotel. Literally around the corner is the fabulous 4 mile stretch of uncrowded, golden, sandy beaches that make Whitsand Bay a popular surfing and bodyboarding beach.
Walks
The National Trust Coastal Path runs directly behind the hotel and takes you to the Mount Edgcumbe Country Park which is one of the few Grade 1 historic gardens in the country. Almost 900 acres of gardens surround the famous Mount Edcumbe House and the Orangery restaurant where orange trees are still grown.
Water sport
Hire a sailing boat, canoe or sailboard to explore the safe waters of Cawsand Bay, waterskiing, jetskiing and speedboating are all possible in the surrounding waters.

The Rame Peninsula is the perfect base for a Golfing Holiday with the world famous St Mellion Golf Course (designed by Jack Nicklaus just 30 minutes away). Looe Down Golf Course is also a short drive while the stunning sea views from the cliff top of Whitsand Bay Golf Course is right on our doorstep.
